History of the Nonjohn Website
The Nonjohn website first went online in October of 1995. The original Nonjohn website was run from servers at Stanford University. When the Nonjohn website first went online, the World Wide Web was in its infancy. Consequently, protocols for URLs were not universal. For example, the original Nonjohn website URL was:
www-leland.stanford.edu/~nonjohn/
Notice the dash after the "www." Eventually Stanford adopted the more universal format by eliminating "-leland" between "www" and "stanford," becoming:
After Nonjohn graduated medical school on June 14, 1998, he transferred the Nonjohn website to its current-day site at:
